TAKE ACTION
DEBATE, DISCUSS, CELEBRATE AND SHARE
One of the strongest tools that we have at our disposal to address ongoing global health challenges is the power of human connection.
This year’s World EBHC Day 2023 focuses on evidence and global health equity and calls on the global evidence community to share our experiences and collective wisdom on how to foster and embed equity-centred evidence-informed decision making and strengthen evidence ecosystems to advance global health equity.
We welcome your insights by submitting a blog or vLog for publication on the World EBHC Day website or holding an event from 16-22 October.
SUBMIT A BLOG
We invite organisations and individuals to submit a blog that shares their experiences, ideas and recommendations for fostering and embedding equity-centred evidence-informed decision making; and/or strengthening local, national and global evidence ecosystems to advance global health equity. Submitted blogs should address one of the five pillars which are listed in the World EBHCD Day Blog Author Guidelines.
Please refer to the World EBHC Day Blog Author Guidelines for the five pillars and possible topics, more information and expectations.
Submit your blog by 4 October 2023
RECORD A VLOG
We invite individuals to submit their story about Evidence and Global Health Equity via a short video (1-2 minutes) that will be published on the World EBHC Day YouTube channel and social media accounts. Vlogs should follow the World EBHC Day vlog guidelines and address one of the themes below. Your vlog can be submitted in any language.
Stories are compelling. Stories are personal. Stories humanise our experiences. We would love to hear your story, so please share a time that you recall when:
- evidence was used to drive more equity in the health system
- use of evidence led to potential or real inequity in health
- changes in the evidence ecosystem led to more equitable decision making
- you have encountered challenges in overcoming inequity in the evidence ecosystem
- inclusion of different voices and stakeholders impacted on achieving equity in the evidence ecosystem
Following the World EBHC Day vlog guidelines, submit your video by Friday 13 October 2023.

spread the word with social media
We understand that submitting a blog or vlog is not for everyone. If you would still like to get involved with World EBHC Day in another way, you are welcome to get on Twitter, Instagram or your favourite social media platform and provide online support in raising awareness of World EBHC Day and the campaign to prioritise health equity in local and global evidence ecosystems.
Social media and digital graphics and a Social Media Toolkit are available for your use.
Getting involved with social media only will not qualify you to become an Evidence Ambassador, but it will lift the profile of World EBHC Day and highlight your own support in the evidence-based community!
