2021 CAMPAIGN - THE ROLE OF

EVIDENCE IN AN INFODEMIC

The campaign in 2021 explored the role of evidence and the global evidence community during an infodemic in promoting access to trustworthy, evidence-informed health information.

In 2021 the global evidence community responded to the call to explore the role of evidence in an infodemic, reflecting and sharing their experiences on infodemic management through 37 blogs published from 20 countries, 32 virtual events, and through social media which reached 21.4 million people. Their responses were guided by infodemiologist Gunther Eynsenbach’s work on infodemic management.
